About

Welcome to Freshly Squeezed Science!

This is the pilot for a site I had planned as part of my News Editing course (you can see my full PDF plan here). I'm pretty proud of my idea, but I have neither the staff nor the web development knowhow to implement the real thing, so I'm starting with the blog component.

This also allows me to keep up with my journalistic self over the summer while I'm home working. I was able to blog about science news for my school paper last semester, and I hope I can continue that in the fall, but that's ultimately up to the opinions editor, so this will also cover me should they not want me to overload the site with awesomeness in the fall.

My plan is to provide commentary on science topics, generally news-related but some may be just because they're topics I find interesting or whatever.

If you have any questions, comments, rants, raves, or just want to say hi, feel free to drop me a line at freshlysqueezedscience[at]gmail[dot]com. You can also visit my professional page here, as well as my Twitter page.

Thanks!
